ABOUT THE ARTIST - ADEEB HOWRANI

As a commercial photographer of 25 years, I found myself at a crossroad in June of 2020. Just 3 months into the pandemic, with several projects delayed for months, or canceled altogether, I soon realized I did not possess the best personality or temperament for a “lockdown.”

So, in the fall of 2020, when the state of California announced a second lockdown, I decided to hit the road and head up the coast. With a roof rack full of photography gear, I packed up the SUV and departed Orange County California, and headed up the California coastline.

I had no idea a 2 week trip would turn into a 4 month expedition up the west coast and over to the Cascades extending from Northern California, into Oregon, and all the way into Washington. My initial goal was to just get a little rest and relaxation, some peace and tranquility just watching the Pacific Ocean waves crash along the beaches of Big Sur and Monterey… or walking in the silence of back woods trails among towering evergreens and giant redwoods in Northern California.

And like so many others during the lockdown, I spent time reflecting on the things that really mattered to me in my life. I had time to think about my career, but most of all, I thought of the family and friends in other states I couldn’t visit during the holidays, or during the lockdowns. So I escaped into my work…. capturing fine art images of the Central California coastline, the rugged coastline of Oregon and Washington, the many waterfalls, rivers, and creeks in the Cascades… or the many rivers and creeks that poured into the mighty Columbia river. I wanted so badly for my family members and friends to be with me me on my trip… to experience all the beauty the Pacific Northwest had to offer. It would only be one year later in the fall of 2021 that I would visit my family back in Michigan, where I would be able to share my images and experiences with them of the Great Pacific Northwest.

While the isolation and miles of travel were difficult at times… it was all worth it. After two incredible fall and winter seasons of capturing images in the Pacific Northwest, I now have the pleasure to present my portfolio and body of work here on Coast Fine Art. It’s my hope and desire you find, not just one fine art image… but several fine art images of interest for a friend, a loved one, a client, or more importantly… yourself!

For those who may be less experienced with online purchasing of fine art, I will be more than happy to be of personal service and assistance to anyone desiring or needing help with placing their first order, as well as, any future orders. I am here to serve you, and it gives me great pleasure to know you desire to own one of my fine art prints!

One final note… I’ve uploaded a variety of abstract seascapes, florals, and textures to my collections on Coast Fine Art… some of my best selling abstracts from 2015 to 2019, which I originally created for my mother, an artist, who unfortunately, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2015. My mother enjoyed my florals and seascapes the most, so I did my best to create fresh new images for her every month, hoping to inspire her to paint as long as possible. She remained active with her painting until 2018 when her memory loss and desire to paint began to diminished. She would often forget what she was doing while working on a painting and would stop altogether. It was a difficult time for myself and others in our family to witness… especially since we knew how much she loved to paint. Unfortunately, my mother left this earth a little too soon in May of 2022, but her love of flowers, nature, and landscapes, have inspired me to go out and write a few more chapters in my book of fine art photography… and life in general. Hopefully I’ll be telling stories and creating beautiful images of seascapes, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and creeks well into my 80’s and 90’s! Oh… and did I mention, old barns and light houses? Mom always liked old barns and light houses. Here’s to you mom… thanks for all the love and inspiration!
